I am a minor Hindu from Bangladesh. I have passed 26years of my life with the majority Muslims of my country. Now I am in Europe, a place of peace, equality and democracy.

It’s totally different from my country. Here are no so many people, no traffic jam, no chaos and may be no corruption! Peoples seem to be helpful (NB: weather is hostile!) and busy in their own business. No one is interfering others. Things are all arranged and seem to be in a good order. They are so upgraded that they speak of animal welfare meaning a strong voice for the human rights, human welfare. This is really praiseworthy. But what about me?

As I mentioned earlier, I am from the minority Hindu religious people of Bangladesh. I know it very well what does it actually mean being a minor Hindu in Bangladesh. But I don’t know what it means to a Muslim in India or to a tamil in Srilanka or the same in others countries. In my village we are about 500 Hindus living as a cluster surrounded by Muslims. When I understood for the first time that I am a Hindu, I also understood that I am weak. I cannot protest someone from Muslim community if he robs mangoes from our trees, fish from our ponds. If I do it I can be beated and may be no fruitful trial for that. I was learning how to be adapted with all this from that age. I always tried to get a Muslim friend to possess some power so that no another Muslim can beat me. Sometimes I was successful!

To be continued……….

This is what the majority of Indians do at present. We discriminate fellow Indians on basis of their language, cast, creed, religion and color.

The Bengali New Year just went by. It is 1417 Bongabdo now. Wishing all the Bengalis Shubha Nabobarsho! Hope this brings you all prosperity and health!

Today’s topic is Bengali and the Bengali language. Recently I came across a news article in www.timesofindia.indiatimes.com about Bengali being selected as the sweetest language of the world. (Find the article here) We always knew this, that after one of those European languages (may be Spanish) Bengali was the sweetest language of the world and one of the most spoken language too. I am proud to be a Bengali and this is one more reason to be so. I can read, write and speak in Bengali and that is an achievement in any human being’s life. I was blessed to have born in a Bengali family and hence, I did not have to toil that hard to learn Bengali. I wish people reading me, who cannot read Bengali would learn this someday and would be able to explore the treasure we have in our Bangla literature! Oh, such a great feeling to be able to address Bangla as my own! I was telling the other day to one of my friends in office, that there is so much in Bengali and its literature that it is not possible for someone mortal to read and learn everything that is in there. And that my wife could go on and on and on talking about Bengali, Bengali literature, Bengali people and Bengali land – we are so proud Bengalis!

That’s it!

I am a Bengali and let me be a Bengali and let me take pride in the same.

But that would not be the end of all of it. People in India speak so many different languages and everyone is proud of their own languages. Till this point everything is fine! But no! People will not just stop there. They will go much ahead of this and start comparing their language to their neighbors’. They will start comparing the languages and cross the limit and call names of the other language and the people speaking that. This is what the majority of Indians do at present. We discriminate fellow Indians on basis of their language, cast, creed, religion and color. We have seen it, felt it, talked about it and have kept quiet. I mean, we never had anything to do against or for this. We don’t take any steps ourselves. We keep mum and we condole ourselves.

I am staying away from home for last 12 years and I have seen it everywhere I went – be it Assam, Tamil Nadu or Karnataka; be it in street, shop, bus and auto or in office! Where are we heading towards? Are we a country of educated people? Well, if this is what education teaches us, we should go back to the jungles and start dwelling in caves. There is no tolerance, no brotherhood, no serenity and no forbearance in any of us! And we call ourselves educated, civilized and healthy human beings and citizens of a developing country – a republic, a democratic and a sovereign nation! Does anyone know the meaning of these words? LOL!

It’s time we rise and stand against this and pull those despotic nincompoops by their ears and teach them that this is a country of many people and all of those have the right to go anywhere they want; do anything they want; talk any language they want; practice any religion they want. And not only this, the citizens of India are free to eat at any restaurant; wear any underwear they want; sneeze as many times they would like to; watch any movie at any theatre.

If you have got a problem, just leave!

Grow up people and act as if you are civilized, even if you are not

I woke up on Jan. 28 and was shocked to read the news of the execution of five former army officers – Syed Farooq-ur Rahman, Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, Mohiuddin Ahmed, A.K.M. Mohiuddin Ahmed and Bazlul Huda, convicted for killing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding leader of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the country’s first president. Most of Rahman’s family members were also killed including his 10-year-old son.

The five were executed in Dhaka Central Jail, nearly 35 years after they assassinated Rahman in an army coup. As much as I was shocked to read the gruesome killing of the Rahman family, I was equally pained, as an anti death-penalty activist to note the execution of the five persons.

Rahman’s murder was interconnected by many political norms of the nation, which delayed justice for years. These forces set up a platform and even enforced a change in the country’s constitution.

More than 21 years after the assassination, a case was filed in October 1996, four months after the Awami League party led by Sheikh Hasina, one of Mujibur Rahman’s two surviving daughters, assumed office.

After 17 months of hearings, on Nov. 8, 1998, Kazi Gulam Rasul, a district and sessions court judge in Dhaka sentenced 15 former army officers to death by firing squad in public for the brutal murder of Rahman and 26 others including his wife, three sons, two daughters-in-law, a brother, and other close relatives, political associates and security men in a pre-dawn attack on Aug. 15, 1975.

The accused were Syed Farooq-ur Rahman, Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, Muhiuddin Ahmed, A.K.M. Mahiuddin Ahmed, Bazlul Huda, Khandaker Abdur Rashid, Shariful Haque Dalim, Ahmed Shariful Hossain, A.M. Rashed Chowdhury, S.H.M.B. Noor Chowdhury, Md. Abdul Aziz Pasha, Md. Kismat Hashem, Nazmul Hossain Ansar, Abdul Mazed, and Moslemuddin.

On Dec. 14, 2000, when the case went for an appeal hearing, the High Court delivered a split verdict. One judge upheld the death sentence for 10 of the accused and acquitted the other five while another judge upheld the death sentences on all 15 defendants.

Another high court judge then took up the case and a final verdict was delivered on April. 30, 2001, upholding the death sentences of 12 defendants while three – Md. Kismat Hashem, Ahmed Shariful Hossain and Nazmul Hossain Ansar were acquitted. The five – Syed Farooq-ur Rahman, Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, Mohiuddin Ahmed, A.K.M. Mohiuddin Ahmed, and Bazlul Huda were convicted and detained in the Dhaka Central Jail, but later appealed to the Supreme Court against their death sentences.

The Supreme Court upheld their sentences on Nov. 19, 2009 and a final review of the case was scheduled on Jan. 24, 2010, as the last judicial remedy to the five men.

However, the entire trial has been questioned for its fairness and the political bias of judges, especially with the Awami League in power. But this is a normal procedure in Bangladesh.

If prisoners are sentenced to death, they can appeal to the High Court against their conviction. If the High Court upholds the sentence, they can appeal to the Supreme Court. If the Supreme Court upholds the sentence, the prisoners have one more judicial remedy and that is a final review of the case by the same bench of the Supreme Court. If the death sentence is still upheld, the only remedy open to the prisoners is a mercy petition requesting clemency from the president.

Five former army officers were executed in Bangladesh on Jan. 28 for assassinating Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding leader of Bangladesh, in 1975. While the death penalty could not be overturned, the local media reported on Jan. 19 that the president had considered and rejected the mercy petition of three of the accused – Mohiuddin Ahmed, A.K.M. Mohiuddin Ahmed, and Bazlul Huda.

It is a tradition that mercy petitions are normally considered after all the judicial processes and options are over.

Sheikh Hasina, one of Mujibur Rahman’s two surviving daughters and the present prime minister of Bangladesh publicly vowed to find six other killers of her father, hiding as fugitives, and execute them at any cost. “Wherever the killers are, they will be brought back and executed. The world is small, where will they escape to?” she said at Gano Bhaban.

Followers of the Awami League party reportedly harassed some family members of the executed men including during the burial of one of the men. The families now fear of persecution and more harassment.

The media mostly played a politically bias role. The notable Daily Ittefaq had labeled the sentenced men as saviors of the nation in 1975, but titled them national enemies after their execution.

In addition, the media did not respect the privacy and security of family members of the executed men, nor did they report their views and comments. The role of Rahman and some of his family members was questionable during a time of conflict that had many political problems. This is widely known in political circles.

The question is whether the trial was free and fair and the answer is, it was not. When the United Nations general assembly adopted resolution 62/149 on Dec.18, 2007, calling for a worldwide moratorium on executions, the resolution was adopted by an overwhelming majority of 104 member states. Fifty-four countries voted against it and 29 abstained.

Bangladesh along with its prime minister and the political regime is practicing the inhuman “death penalty” and wrongly influencing free and fair trials.

For Sheikh Hasina, I leave a note, “To take a life when a life has been lost is revenge, not justice,” Desmond Tutu said.

And for the reader, I pose the question by Victor Hugo. “What says the law? You will not kill. How does it say it? By killing.”

It is time to take a decision and change the “killing law” and make the world more human.

BNP and Awami League were united for their self-interest of Hindu minority persecution. Though, in the political field both of this two big political parties have been quarrel and fight each and other. Nuruzzaman Piter is an influential businessman who is to close with a central leader of BNP and former Mayor of Rajshahi city Mizanur Rahman Minu. On the other side, Jahangir Alam Haran is another great businessman, who is to close with a central leader of Awami League and present Mayor of same city A H M Khairuzzaman Liton.

Both of two businessmen have a land of the middle of Rajshahi city. In front of their land have a small piece of land (one and half Katha) which of owner Hindu minority Gopal Ram and Noresh Ram (both of are brother). One side of the land has a small wheat broken factory. Other side they have been living in a small room. But, the influentials businessmen were wanted to buy this land of piece for increasing their multistoried building. Owner of that land was denied to sell it. After then the influentials were making conspiracy to evict from hereditary homestead of them and to grab this land. For this they wanted to use Army men.

On 1st January, 2010 Gopal Ram told, this was a house. My older mother was living here. But, the influentials was destroyed it. When they were doing vandalizing my mother and a daughter of my brother were inside of this house. They would be killed, fortunately they were safe. By brutally they were attacked in the night (at around 3.00am). We were afraid and anxious. Even our lives were hard to safe. In that time nobody was helped us.
They were vandalized our factory and room. A portion of the factory was safe. But, two third portion of our room was destroyed. After this my mother was died few days ago only for overwhelmed with grief of house. Still we are in front of torture. By any means we have been staying here with the life of hand. Of the factory have 440 power lines. It is very risky. In every rainy season here comes horrible scenario. In that time no one can live here. But, we have no alternative.

He also mentioned that, still we werent getting justice. Wife of Gopal Ram told, they were looted chair, table, an almirah and other furnitures. Gopal Ram said, many places I went for help even administration. But nobody helped me.

He added that, they were made their multistoried building wall after broken our wall and room. Our house was fine and quite. But suddenly, terrorists group were came here and destroyed. Before that they were threatened to us. I went to local police station and informed to them. The police came and gone after investigation. Later again police was called me. Then I went to the police station with all of our papers. They were took and looking that papers. But, they didnt take any action.

In this way many days have passed. Then again the attackers were threatened to us. At a stage they were vandalized our room during their building was making. They were destruction our wall by land ditch in side of our house wall. I was tried to protect. I was informed to police and local elites. But, they didnt take initiative to protect us. Then I was filed a case. I was seeking security from government. The court was an ordered in favor of me. In spite of one day they were attack and rampage our house and factory in the day light. Around thousand people were took part that operation. Haran and Petar also were present in that time. They were possession some portion of our land. When my wife was tried to protect them then they were attempt to murder her. Again I went to the police station. Then police was come to the spot. But, police was told me that, you have to compromised with them. I told, why and what compromised? Where, I would go. I have a bit of land. By this land we are living and doing something for our lives. I have no alternative to operate for the family. But, they have made their building. I was obtained Court decree from Sadar court and from district Judge Court. Indeed, administration could nothing for us. I have continuing the case. But, the opponents have taking time again and again. I have in great trouble. My demand is the, government should to do something for us. We want justice. We are mentally upset. How long we would wait for justice? How would we alive?

Wife of Gopal Ram told, since 2001we are under torture, panic. They didnt take me some time for cooking. They want to kill us by set fire. They told us that, nobody could anything to them. We have power, we have money. We would manage all the things by money.

She also said, they are waiting for chance again. With children we are under torturing. In spite of have law but we didnt get benefit from law. From administration, police, court anywhere we didnt get helped. To every where they were giving money. Then all of their mouth has stopped. Even an army officer was come and told us that we would destruction your house. Though case has running in the court.

Hindus take tremendous pride in the fact that their religion encourage true pluralism. According to Hinduism, all religions are true and they all lead to the same God. This leads to confusing conclusion leading some people to loose the significance of Hinduism itself. They wonder what makes Hinduism stand out. They question why can’t Krishna be called Allah or Jehovah.

I do believe the way you name your God or the spiritual path you follow is very important to your realization of the lord. When people say they are above all religions or representation of the God, I get very confused. To me this conclusion has no basis. Then we would have no multiple spiritual path to the God but only one. Greatest seers or religious leaders were not even above all religions.

It’s important for you to stick to your spiritual path and identify yourself with it. It will make sense if we think of spirituality as a materialistic goal. Let’s say our goal is to make 1 million $. There are multiple ways of acquiring that goal but all ways are not successful for everyone. If you find your way, then stick to it and identify yourself with it. If you keep saying that all paths to million $ are the same then you are deceiving yourself as they are not.

Then after you get that million $, you recognize your path, not discard it. Don’t say, now that you got million dollars your path is not anymore important to you. That’s why the people that have truly achieved moksha (i.e. Vivekananda) they continued to recognize their path to their spiritual goal.

The belief of different paths leading to the same God is strictly a belief of Sanatan Dharma. If you believe in that philosophy, then you are a Hindu. If Hindu philosophy is not your thing then move on to a different spiritual philosophy. However, if you ascribe to a non-sanatan philosophy, remember then you are actually giving up this belief of all paths being equally valued.

Even though it sounds very promising, one cannot pick and choose different spiritual philosophies or follow his heart to constitute his own philosophy. That’s because he is not the God. One cannot be lawyer, doctor, teacher, accountant at the same time to be successful in his materialistic life. 1 has to ascribe to one path only and become the best at it. Spiritual goal is like that.

Hindus and Jews have strongly urged newly elected mayor of Sofia (Bulgaria) Yordanka Fandakova to improve the plight of Roma people residing in Sofia, who were reportedly facing apartheid like conditions.

Rajan Zed, acclaimed Hindu statesman; and Rabbi Jonathan B. Freirich, prominent Jewish leader in Nevada and California in USA; in a joint statement in Nevada today, said that mayor Fandakova should make Roma upliftment her first priority as their maltreatment was a dark stain on the face of Sofia and Bulgaria.

Zed, who is the president of Universal Society of Hinduism, and Rabbi Freirich stressed that it was simply immoral to continue staying apathetic and silent spectator ignoring Roma plight, who reportedly regularly faced social exclusion, racism, substandard education, hostility, joblessness, rampant illness, inadequate housing, lower life expectancy, unrest, living on desperate margins, stereotypes, mistrust, rights violations, discrimination, marginalization, appalling living conditions, prejudice, human rights abuse, etc.

Commissioner for Human Rights of Council of Europe Thomas Hammarberg, who recently concluded a three-day visit to Sofia, visited a Roma settlement in the Republika district of Sofia where he assessed the living conditions as inhumane. “No one should live in these conditions in today’s Europe” he declared.

Capital and largest city of Bulgaria, Sofia is the second oldest city in Europe whose roots can be traced back to about 7000 years. Lonely Planet has described Sofia as “city waking up after decades of slumber”.

Honorable Prime Minister and daughter of Bangabondhu Sheikh Hasina, please have look your eyes to minority community. We ask you as a citizen of Bangladesh you have don’t seen anything what happening in Bangladesh? But, why, every day the newspapers have been published much news about minority torture. You have many hands as a Prime Minister, so why don’t take action against minority perpetrators? Still have much time with your hands. So, please safe our minority peoples and their wealth.

Adv.Rabindra GhoshPresident-Bangladesh Minority Watch (BDMW) was sent news which was published in the daily Sangbad. We have known that, Sangbad is an oldest newspaper in Bangladesh. And they have goodwill as a responsible journalism.

Properties belonging to Minorities at Sherpur District forcefully occupied by Juba League Leader on last Saturday, shops demolished; women injured (The daily Sangbad dated 10 August, 2009)

A group of hoodlums with the leadership of Hafizur Rahman Hafiz andhis elder brother Azizur Rahman Aziz – Cultural Secretary of Juba League (Youth Organisation of Awami League) Nalitabari Upazila underSherpur district on last Saturday morning forcefully occupied seven decimals of lands belonging to a Hindu owner- Surjya Kanta Debnath. In this connection allegations received from the victim’s family that two shops were demolished and their daughter Ms.Lipi Debnath was physically assaulted during operation.

But Juba League Leader denied the allegations of forceful occupation of lands, but he admitted that the lands purchased by his father and uncle were recovered. It is also alleged that since long there was a dispute between Surjya Kanta and Hafizur Rahman & Brothers with regard to seven decimals of lands situated at Garkanda Saha Para within Nalitabari Upazila. Surjya Kanta possessed the lands since long. But before forceful occupation Hafizur and Azizur were putting constant pressure to Hindu occupant to give up the lands.

But Surjya Kanta claimed that the seven decimals of lands were purchased from his maternal aunt- Ms.Khuki Bala and as such he is the real owner of the properties. And the claim of Hafizur is baseless and illegal. Advocate Sudhanshu Kumar Kaloar informed that a group of hoodlums armed with deadly weapon attacked the house of Surjya Kanta and demolished two shops belonging to Surja Kanta and assaulted Ms.Lipi Debnath and occupied the lands forcefully.

It is also learnt that this Juba League leader –Hafizur Rahman is the accused of charge sheeted case of murder of Yousuf and Takan who are also President and Secretary of Nalitabari Chatra League respectively killed by him on 25th October, 1999. This case has been stayed by order of the High Court Division.

Minority repression and extra judicial killings has not stop in Bangladesh. Minority repression is a common feature in Bangladesh. Almost every day here happening minority torture. Ms.Radha Rani Halder (28) in Shoriotpur was gang raped recently. We knew our great patriotic journalist Manik Saha was killed by bomb attacked in 2004. Another honest journalist Diponker Chakraborty from Bogura was killed by terrorists. From Faridpur promising journalist Goutam Saha was killed. Principle Gopal Krishna Muhury was killed by gun shoot. As a Bangalee peoples everybody knows Purnima gang raped of in Sirajgonj. And it was the preplanned incidents. No actual investigation has happed and still not give punish to perpetrators of at least 15 indigenous community leader including Alfred Soren, Choles Richil murderer. (See:http://www.humanrightstoday.info/?p=865).

We know in Bangladesh has no actual democracy, rule of law, education. Most of the peoples are living very poor situation. Gross problem is that, constitutionally Islam is the only one religion. But, in Bangladesh have living Muslim, Hindus, Christians and Buddhist. Though, we had got secular constitution after independence led by father of the nation Bongobondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. After the killings of Bongobondhu, General Zia and General Ershad were broken the main constitution.

This is Latest incidents of minority repression in Bangladesh. Perpetrators attacked four Hindu families, vandalized their deities while attackers tried to occupy cremation ground belonging to Hindus on 3rd July, 09 at Palash Upazila of Narsingdi District. 10 persons including women and children were seriously injured due to abrupt attack. On last Saturday night this unfortunate incident occurred at the houses of Dhirendra and Monindra Chandra Barman at village–Charsindhu. At the relevant time the perpetrators destroyed and thrown away building materials into deep river kept for construction of cremation ground. The injured persons are reported to be a) Dhirendra Chandra Barman, b) Ms.Anjali Rani Barman, c) Ms.Niyati Rani Barman, d) Ms.Hinruni Barman, e) Sunil Chandra Barman, f) Kalu Chandra Barman, g) Monindra Chandra Barman, h) Monindra Chandra Barman.

Two victims have been admitted to local Hospital as their conditions are reported to be precarious. On Saturday last local 15-16 land grabbers with the leadership of Joynal, Ismail and Babul armed with deadly weapons attacked the religious places of Hindus, looted cash, gold ornaments, and mobile sets worth Taka 1,50,000/- and destroyed building materials kept for reconstruction of cremation ground. It is also alleged that the local Member of Parliament – Anwar Ashrab inaugurated foundation stone for the religious place belonging to Priyatosh and Nikhil Barman on 15th July, 09 and thereafter the organizers started construction of cremation ground for Hindus. Local Police deployed and as a result constant anxiety prevailing amongst the Hindus. Local Upazilla Chairman Fakrul Islam, ASP Circle and other Awami League leaders visited the spot. Police was arrested one person involved.

We hope that, present government should take immediate action against minority and indigenous persecution. And our demands is that, should punished the all perpetrators. But why, now there is a Democratic government have. So, what and where is the problem to stop minority torture and extra judicial killings? Please let us to be united and fight and presser to the present government for stop minority repression and state torture. Otherwise, minority torture and state torture will not stop.

On the other hand, On 26-27 July, 2009 over two hundred members of the indigenous community two-day long march were finished in Naogaon town to protest attacks on indigenous families. The march was organised under the banner of Jatiya Adibashi Parishad (JAP) after a gang led by Nur Hosssain Master of Soraigachhi attacked the houses of some 74 families including 54 indigenous families at Katirpur on June 12. They torched, damaged and looted the houses and also randomly beat up indigenous men, women and children during the attack.

Since the attack, some 300 members of the affected families have been left without homes, and the local administration has not come forward to help them, the protesters allege. On the first day yesterday, the protesters walked some 30 kilometres from Soraigachhi in Porsha to Mohadevpur upazila sadar. They will be joined by 300 more people this morning as they begin the march to Naogaon town. At Naogaon they will submit a memorandum to the local administration. The protesters are carrying traditional bows and arrows to show that they will fight for their demands for security and protection of their ancestral lands, JAP leaders said.

They have meanwhile placed forward a nine-point demand which include demands for their rights and security, the arrest of Nur Hossain Master and his accomplices and the removal of the officer-in-charge of Porsha police station as the OC, they allege, is joining hands with the land grabbers.Their demands also include constitutional recognition, formation of a land commission and a separate ministry for plain land indigenous people.

Why still in Bangladesh have been going minority and indigenous repression? Bangladesh Awami League has now in power. Always they are getting the vote of minority and indigenous without some extra cases. We have passed 38 years from our independence.

Back in the Spring of 1990, six college students sent 9 questions to Hinduism Today. But to make the explanation better, Hinduism Today had included another question to make it 10 questions that they answered. First remember that if the person is trying to convince you to their thoughts, then do not answer. Smile at them and show them that it is nothing to make you conviced by making you change your thought and you belief. Also remember not to answer a question about religon as if you are sure or fast because you had not thought about it at all. Offer a prolouge first to introduce the problem. This way, you have the time to think and start your conversation. Ask the questioner what his religion is and knowing that you can keep it in his understanding knowledge. Don’t be afraid to answer these questions, even meaningful answers would be taken into great consideration.

The Hinduism Today had included these prologues in their article and they are pasted here too.

I am really pleased that you are interested in my religion. You may not know that one out of six people in the world are Hindu.

Many people have asked me about my tradition. I don’t know everything but I will try to answer your question.

First, you should know that in Hinduism, it is not only belief and intellectual understanding that is important. Hindus place the greatest value of experiencing each of those truths personally.

You can also say the question back to see if the person has questioned you correctly.

Remember that Sanatan Dharma is an experiential path so it is your experience that is answering the question and nothing else. You can also ask the person if he or she has any other questions. Remember not to think that everyone that is asking you question about your religion might not be challenging you all the time. If you don’t know any answer, don’t say something that you had just made up, say you don’t know anything about this. You can tell him that you can lend him Hindu scriptures to learn by himself because you don’t have any knowledge about it.

Why does Hindus have so many Gods?

Hindus all believe in one supreme God who had created the Universe, He is preserving us and he had also created all the Gods who are other spiritual beings as his Helper. Hindus always worship only one Supreme Being that may be called by different names because there are many other languages in parts of India. The four main principals are:

1. Saivism: God Shiva
2. Shaktism: Goddess Shakti
3. Vaishnavites: God Vishnu
4. Smartas: all other Deities as part of the Supreme Gods

One of the first and unique understanding is that God is not far away. This God is inside every single of us and inside us and inside our soul. It is waiting to be discovered by us so that it would not be hidden from inside us any longer. Hinduism is a religion that follows henotheistic or henotheism because this word best describes Hinduism. It is him that has energized so much of us and our Universe. It is him that shines every single of us and you have to let him know that you know him so he could come out of you and you can learn about him. God is apart from the world and He is transendent. God is both in the World and beyond the World. This sometimes seem to be confusing to non-Hindus because they don’t know how you can call one being with many names. There are right terms that use this to make this all possible for you to understand what Hindusim really is.

Humanize the Human Rights are the people’s demand of the time in Bangladesh. Some time in many issues we have experienced the raising voice against the factual human rights violations. Same time we do experienced the political partisanship and demoralization of human rights groups as well as individual Human Rights defenders. As a example human rights organizations are divided in the name and favor of politics, religion and donor orientated agenda and propaganda. Recently in the partition in the filed of Human Rights was focused in the argument on the issue of election monitoring of Bangladesh Ninth Parliamentary Elections. The two main political parties gave objection to the election commission objecting the partisanship of the selected NGO’s in the 34 members Election Working Group donated by international donor agencies .

The major print and electronic media of Bangladesh has covered the facts widely. The said fact obviously brings in light the facts about the division and demoralization based on politics among the human rights group in Bangladesh. The democratic frame was stumbled by the demoralization of Human rights in Bangladesh.

I don’t oppose the practice of politics of individual or community. I do not wish the rule of military regime or dictatorship indeed. In the same time I do also don’t want to see the Human Rights of the peoples would be delimited and the rights of the people will be violated for the sake of political opinion or practice by the Human Rights instruments.

The other division is very vocal and that creates a vital crucial division in the filed of Human Rights and also a great hindrance in the way to promote communal harmony and equip Human rights. There area certain Human Rights groups those who are working namely protecting the Human Rights of the peoples. But they only armed with hearted slogan in mind for others to protect the rights of the certain Religious groups with an ultra communal attitude.

Among the irrational groups there are also highly inner divisions. Some are of them extensively working for the Hindus while others are highly sensitize for the Christian or others own faith .By these groups the Human Rights of the peoples are highly violated with high profile communal attitude.

While the atheist groups are blaming the all religion in general as the root cause of all human rights violations and highly propagating to convince the people not to believe in Religion.

Bangladesh is a poor developing country; the NGO’s mainly depends on foreign fund. The Ngo’s always tried to gain the foreign fund and the donor agency crucially enforces their propaganda related agenda with an ulterior motive. And that cause another highly diplomatic defect in the filed of Human Rights.

As an example the Arab based donor organizations donate the faith based Islamic fascist Ngo’s to Islamize the country. In past days Bangladesh government’s Intelligence agency like National Securities of Intelligence (NSI) and Directorate General of Intelligence (DGFI) has traced a bunch of Ngo’s who are patronizing the Islamic extremist and their Slogan for Islamization of the country. The Arab based facilitation influx the Islamic fascism and farm communal hatred that ends with a grenade attack or suicide bomb attack that’s kills thousands of innocent peoples and progressive peoples. Bangladesh’s present Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed, progressive British diplomat Anwar chowdhury was also among target who was targeted by the Islamic fascist to kill.

Any kind of division is a high hindrance in protecting the Human Rights of the people and equipping the peace and justice in the Human family. As all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights, the Human rights groups or individual shouldn’t deny protecting the rights violated people of any belief or disbelief or for any political opinion indeed. It’s time to think locally but act globally to enroll the justice and peace.

A few days back, someone named “Allah Ke Bande” left a horrible comment against Hindus in general. I didn’t make a big deal out of this because I wanted people to realize the impact of Islamic Extremism that the world needs to encounter.

Allah Ke Bande, I made this video specifically for you. The background song is by Kailash Kher.

This is the time for us to reflect on the deaths and victims of Islamic extremism that people need to encounter on a daily basis. This is just one attack but for thousands of years, Hindus, Christians and Jews have to live with these types of radicalism from Islam. The funniest thing is that killing innocent people actually has been working for the Muslim extremists. The world population is not doing enough to end this extremism.

I said before and I am saying again. Certain aspects of Islam has problems and Muslims need to clarify those aspects. If Muslims don’t clarify the positions on Islam then more hatred will arise on the Muslims themselves.

Please watch the full documentary I think this really portrays the condition of Bangladeshi minorities. The documentary shows how the Hindu population has been declining rapidly in Bangladesh. A systematic genocide is causing this decline.

These types of heinous activity by Islamic terrorists and the Bangladesh government really makes us wonder if we are living in the 21st century. Bangladesh has become a nation where diversity is becoming a rare element in the dictionary. Recently attacks on the Ahmadiyya Muslims have increased tremendously as well.

Bangladesh has a long way to go. It needs to learn the essence of democracy and multiculturalism from west.

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Richard L. Benkin to our site. Through personal email discussions, I found Dr. Benkin to be most considerate when it comes down to helping the Hindus of Bangladesh. He has been to Bangladesh and India several times involving human rights issues.

He was also the champion behind the lobby of getting Shoaib Chowdhury released from jail. Mr. Chowdhury, a journalist from Bangladesh was arrested for advocating peace between Islam and Judaism. Dr. Benkin has worked on many projects alongside Mr. Chowdhury and therefore has crucial knowledge on where minorities face hardships, including property rights, rape, assault, cultural genocide etc.

I would like you to check out his site Interfaith Strength. He started this site to encourage understanding between different faiths and encourage discussion of human rights violations.

He is planning to visit India soon to lobby for human rights for Bangladeshi Hindus. We strongly appreciate his goal and honest approach. We would like to request everyone to donate to Dr. Benkin’s cause. The information on how to help him in his journey will be posted soon. However, even $1 donation would be a great start and you can help him to help our people in Bangladesh.

South Asian Bleeding Heart Association is a really good effort in showcasing the so-called psuedo-secularism practiced by the Indian governments.

India View talks about the debate regarding Religious Conversions.

Finally, the Hinduism Today newsletter provided with a very nice inspirational quote on India by Mark Twain.

India is the cradle of the human race, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend and the great grandmother of tradition. The most valuable and the most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only. – Mark Twain

Hinduism has its roots in India. However British philosophers to prove their claim of the Adam-Eve story have said that Hinduism and civilization came from outside of India. They were trying to prove that Indian or Hindu culture itself is foreign and therefore accepting the British and Christianity should be an innate quality to the Indian. This is the root of the Aryan Invasion Theory a theory which now is highly discredited in scholarship. Its roots are racist, eurocentric and now completely disproved.

This is an interesting development. Pedophile websites are being used to pass information between terrorists.

A link between terrorism plots and hardcore child pornography is becoming clear after a string of police raids in Britain and across the Continent, an investigation by The Times has discovered. Images of child abuse have been found during Scotland Yard antiterrorism swoops and in big inquiries in Italy and Spain.

Secret coded messages are being embedded into child pornographic images, and paedophile websites are being exploited as a secure way of passing information between terrorists.

British security services are also aware of the trend and believe that it requires further investigation to improve understanding of terrorists’ methods and mindsets. Concerns within the Metropolitan Police led to a plan to run a pilot research project exploring the nature of the link. One source familiar with the proposal said that this could eventually lead to the training of child welfare experts to identify signs of terrorist involvement as they monitor pornographic sites.

Concerns have already been expressed at Cabinet minister level about the risk of vulnerable Muslim youths being exploited by older men.
