Bangladeshi police harrassing me for my India tour and writings!

William Gomes: Bangladeshi Human Rights Activist

I am William Gomes a Human rights activist and a freelance journalist from Bangladesh. I do used to run a small human rights organization called “Christian Development Alternative (CDA). I am also a converted Christian. I was harassed by police many times.  we do work with our small effort to protect the rights of the minorities specially.

Today 8th July 2009 ,two police official form special Branch of police under the City SB came to my house around 6 o clock in the evening. One police official said, who is William Nicholas Gomes. They said we are looking for you. We are from city SB of police. Our senior official wants to talk to you. He ringed from his cell and gave me the
mobile phone, from other side a man, asked me what you was doing in India in February. Come to my office tomorrow, my high officials wants to know more.

I said to him that I will go to prime minister’s office tomorrow early in the morning and then I will go to UNDP local office for pre fixed meeting. Than the man from the other side to go to his office in Bialy road in Saturday.The man was the Additional Sp of city SB. I will go to his office on Saturday. I will give you update. What is going on.
For last two years, I have been harassed by police only for my religious identity and works for minorities.

The name and the celll number of the police officials came to my house:

1. Mohammed Abul Kaher
Sub Inspector

2. SM saha Alam
Sub Inspector of City SB

working for human rights is a noble proffession,we appriciate you,fight against the misjudgement,fight against the people who torture minor(i personally won’t define them as minority).raise your voice.but police tortured you,!! after that,you converted your religion??

in your dialogue of the cops nowhere I read that they said that they came to harrass you because you became christian. Wake up…brush up your brain and then write. And dont go around lying that you are a freelancewriter. You couldn’t even write a fiction. It will nice for all if you pack your bags and move to India. That is the best place for plastics like you.

I find it rather amusing that you are accusing a person of misrepresentation while you failed to comprehend the article. The author never mentioned he was harassed by police because he was a Christian but rather because of work on human rights development.

Although he was previously harassed by police because of his conversion to Christianity.

Read the whole article and tell me that cops confessed to him that he’s being harrassed because of his religion affiliation…come on, show me the proof. The guy went to India. What was he doing there? CIA report shows that many of the people coming from India are responsible for terrorist acts in Bangladesh.

Wow, did you read what I wrote. The author never claimed he was abused in this incident due to his conversion.

He went to India for a human rights convention. It’s not a new thing for fascist Bangladesh to go after human rights workers. Think about Shahriar Kabir. Obviously William was not a terrorist as he was not a Muslim.

Finally, which CIA report shows Indians committing terrorism in Bangladesh? Don’t say things that you learned in your madrasa without proofs.

Islamic terrorism is a global phenomenon. Terrorists from Bangladesh have committed terrorist activities in India such as the one in Kolkata.

Higher vigilance on the border is important to catch these Muslim terrorists but that doesn’t mean this would be used as an excuse by fascist Bangladesh to harass the human rights workers.

you are a fake human right activist . you have the sole intention to give Bangladesh bad names.
What are you up to? A Google search with you name brings so many anti-Bangladeshi articles that one would wonder if you have any patriotism at all. You sir is a minority in your own thoughts… don’t blame Bangladesh. You have the freedom of speech in Bangladesh but stop spreading hatreds.
