নির্বাচন মানেই সংখ্যালঘু নির্যাতন ও কিছু হাহাকার

বাংলাদেশের জম্ম যদিও ধর্ম নিরপেক্ষ দেশ হিসেবে জম্ম হয়েছিল, বাস্তবে এখন আর নেই।এরশাদ সরকার উনার বাবার সম্পত্তির মতই একে মুসলিম দেশ হিসেবে ঘোষণা করেন। এর জন্য তিনি নেননি কোন জনসাধারণের মতামত। সাথে সাথেই বাংলাদেশের কপালে আরেকবার কালিমা লেপন করা হলো। পর্যায়ক্রমিকভাবে সময় এগিয়ে গেলেও অসভ্যতার মায়াজাল আরো ঘনীভূত হয় বাংলাদেশে।

Religious Demography

২০০১ এর উপাত্ত অনুসারে, বাংলাদেশের মোট জনসংখ্যার মাত্র ৯ শতাংশ ছিল হিন্দু ধর্মাবলম্নী। মোট জনসংখ্যার মাত্র নয় শতাংশ মানুষ যদি আঃ লীগে ভোটও দেয়, তাহলে কোন ভাবেই আঃ লীগ জয়ী হতে পারেনা। এর মানে, এই হলো বাংলাদেশ সরকার গঠনে আঃ লীগকে ভোট সংখ্যা গরিষ্ঠতায় আংশিক বা পূর্ণাংগভাবে জয়ী হতে হলে, অবশ্যই অন্যান্য ধর্মাবলম্বীদেরও সহযোগী থাকতেই হবে।

কিন্তু, দূর্ভাগ্য হলেও সত্যি, ২০০১ সালে সবচেয়ে বেশি হেনস্থা হতে হয়েছিল একদল মানুষদের যাদের ধর্ম ছিল হিন্দু। হত্যা, সম্পত্তি লুন্ঠন, অকথিত অত্যাচার ও গণধর্ষনের মতো বেশ ভয়াবহ অপরাধ উঠে আসে কোন এক দল রাজনৈতিক দলগোষ্ঠির কর্মীদের সাহায্যে। তাদের অপরাধ, তারা মালাউন। তারা আঃ লীগের ভোট ব্যাংক। ভোট যদি নাগরিক মৌলিক অধিকার হয়, তবে আঃ লীগকে ভোট দেওয়াও কোন অপরাধ নয়। তবে, এর শাস্তি হিন্দুসহ সমস্ত সংখ্যালঘুদের কেন দিতে হবে? মানবতা বিরোধী এই অসুস্থ মানসিকতার আসল হোতা কারা? তাদেরই বা কেন বিচার হলো না? আপনার বা আমার কারো কিছু হয় নি বলে মুখে কলুপ এটে কতক্ষণ? নারকীয় অতি অল্প কিছু সত্য দৃশ্য দেখুন,

বাংলাদেশের যেকোন রাজনৈতিক দল সংখ্যালঘুদের ও তাদের স্বার্থ সংক্রান্ত মুখ ভরা বুলি থাকলেও বাস্তবে তার কোন প্রতিফলন দেখতে পাওয়া যায় না। শুধু সংখ্যালঘু কেন, কতো সাধারণ মানুষ হেনস্তা হয়েছেন। অনেকেই বলেন, বাংলাদেশের সংখ্যা লঘুদের জামাই আদরে রাখা হয়েছে। আমি শুনি আর হাসি। সরকারী বড় কোন পোস্টে কতজন সংখ্যালঘু রয়েছে, বলুন তো? দেখাতে পারবেন, বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে কোনো সংখ্যালঘু কি কখনো প্রধান মন্ত্রী হয়েছেন, বা প্রেসিডেন্ট বা স্পিকার? আমাদের নিজেদের ভাগ্যকে ধন্যবাদ দেওয়া উচিত। বাংলাদেশে এখনো সংখ্যালঘু ভিত্তিক কোন উগ্র সম্প্রদায়ের উথ্থান ঘটেনি। ভুলে গেলে চলবে না, সময়ের সাথে সাথে অত্যাচারিত মানুষদের ভাষা প্রতিবাদ কঠোর হয়ে আসে। ভৌগলিক দিক থেকে বিবেচনা করলে বাংলাদেশের প্রায় সব অংশই ভারত দ্বারা পরিবেষ্টিত। নিজামীর ভাষায়, “বাংলাদেশ ভারতের তাঁবেদার রাষ্ট্র বানানোর চক্রান্ত চলেছে” লিংকটা দাও। সঠিকভাবে নির্বাচনপূর্ব ও পরবর্তি সময়গুলো সংখ্যালঘু ও সবার মানবাধিকার সঠিকভাবে পালন না করলে, আমাদের অনেক বেশি মূল্য দিতে হতে পারে।

একগাদা মানুষের অভিশাপ হাহাকার হয়ে পিছু লাগবে।

i don agree that terrorism has no connection with religion. 95% of world terrorists are Muslims. Islam has tons of verses that propagate hatred against non-Muslims.

We don’t see Hindus or Christians blowing themselves up by the name of Gita or Bible. We see Muslims doing it everywhere.

Suicide bombing in the world first started by Hindu Tamils in Sri Lanka. Remember killing of Rajiv Gandhi. Islam has tons of verses of hatred? That is full of hypocrisy. Have you read your Bible? Specially Deuteronomy. Here is one for your enjoyment – “Kill the males and rape the virgins!:”

“When you march up to attack a city, first offer it terms of peace. If it agrees to your terms of peace and opens its gates to you, all the people to be found in it shall serve you in forced labor. But if it refuses to make peace with you and instead offers you battle … put every male in it to the sword. Also read Number 31. This is what the Israelis follow to justify their illegal land grabbing and massive disproportionate use of force mostly to slaughter little Palestinian children. Remember the rapes and killings in Gujarat riot in 2002 and Bombay riot in 1992.

If you guys think you can accomplish even a tiny bit by alienating moderate Muslims from Bangladesh, then good luck too. I strongly believe BNP-Jamaat supporters did horrible things after 2001 election win. My mind still gets tormented by what Purnima Shil’s mother told the rapists to go one by one and do it gently because of her tender age. And look the people of Bangladesh (even though the vast majorities are poor and illiterate) gave their verdict. They rejected the religious extremists. Jamaat has been routed. But the approach you guys are taking is equally reprehensible. It looks like moderate Muslims have to fight the Hindu extremists as well.

Stop crying about Christianity. There might be some questionable verses in that religion but Christians today are logical unlike Muslims. Just because Jamat lost the election doesn’t mean they are rooted out. People voted Awami League because “religious neutrality” has been dropped from the manifesto. I agree with Anwar. @Dear Sarkar, Lemme utter some verse for you, my friend from The Holy Qur’an:
The Qur’an:

Sura (4:74) – “Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward.”

Sura (9:111) – “Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur’an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme.”

Sura (2:207) – “And there is the type of man who gives his life to earn the pleasure of Allah…”

Sura (61:10-12) “O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty? That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement.” This verse was given at the battle Uhud and uses the Arabic word, Jihad.

The large-eyed virgins are mentioned in several places as well, including Sura (44:54) and Sura (52:20). For those who swing the other way, there are “perpetual youth” Sura (56:17), otherwise known as “boys” Sura (52:24) and Sura (76:19).

From the Hadith:

Bukhari (52:54) – The words of Muhammad: “I would love to be martyred in Al1ah’s Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred.” This is why modern-day Jihadists often say that they love death.

Muslim (20:4678) – During the battle of Uhud, Muhammad was desperate to push men into battle. He promised paradise for those who would martyr themselves, prompting a young man who was eating dates to throw them away and rush to his death.

Muslim (20:4655) – A man asks Muhammad “which of men is the best?” Muhammad replies that it is the man who is always ready for battle and flies into it “seeking death at places where it can be expected.” (Tellingly perhaps, the next most saintly man in Islam is the hermit who lives in isolation “sparing men from his mischief.”)

Muslim (20:4681) – “Surely, the gates of Paradise are under the shadows of the swords.” After hearing Muhammad say that martyrdom leads to paradise, a young man pulls his sword and breaks the sheath (indicating that he has no intention of returning) then flings himself into battle until he is killed.

Muslim (20.4635) – “Nobody who enters Paradise will (ever like to) return to this world even if he were offered everything on the surface of the earth (as an inducement) except the martyr who will desire to return to this world and be killed ten times for the sake of the great honour that has been bestowed upon him.”

NOw, please follow your first statement.

1)Why after any terrorist attack people point finger to Muslims?
2)Why everyone have conflict with Muslims?Hindu-Muslim/Christian-Muslim/Jew-Muslim/Buddhist-Muslim(in China)?Have you ever seen Hindu-Buddhist/Hindu-Christian(of late only one separate incidence in Orissa-India)/Buddhist-Christian/Jew-Christian conflict?
3)Why the literacy rate of Muslims are so low everywhere in the world(excluding Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan–they are not Islamic countries,communism based Russian commonwealth members actually)
4)Why Muslims are the greatest sufferers allover the world?
To get the answers read your scriptures(Quraan,Hadiths and all) in neutral mind, and read history.
No community is bad,Muslims are not bad as well. But ask yourself these questions and think.
1)Why devout Muslims all over the world wear dress like Arabs(fez,pyjama,arbi towels,alkhalla),name their children like Arabs,behave in the Arab way(hating Jews,west etc), the more devout he is the more is the intensity of all these?Isn’t Islam an Arab propaganda?
2)Why Quraan talks about kill them/smite them/fear fear fear/sin/jews are pigs etc?

Look at India, a fast growing super power..in arts,culture,industry,IT,telecoms,education,aviation,medicine,management,astronomy and all due to Hindus(and Buddhists,Sikhs,Jains).Muslims are the most uneducated,poor and dying out community. Muslims in India who are improving are the most liberal, moderate and non-Islamic Muslims.From time to time they will mingle with the Hindu community soon by converting.
But look at Pakistan–95% Muslim dominated nation today is suffering of poverty,terrorism, illiteracy. Pakistan in living in the aid of US and under the gun of Talibani militants.Hindus of Pakistan are rich,industrialists and today they almost have left Pakistan to US/UK/India/Australia. Soon Pakistan will either be bombed by US like Afghanistan and will get divided, or in an war with India will be nuked and wiped out of the map of the atlas.
Look at Bangladesh–90% Muslim majority country, poverty and corruption is burning it, and today there is shameful act like BDR revolt. Ha ha..Uraban Bangladeshi Hindus are educated, intelligent and good looking where as muslims are beastlike looking,nasty,uncivilized. Soon Bangladesh will die out of starvation and corruption and the remaining Hindus will be placed to US/UK and India and have their own land in the soil of Bangladesh.

I hope the situation changes in Bangladesh, I hope that the country improves, over the years social-economically it has already. I’m sick of hearing nagatives about our desh. I hope minorities are better protected.

I know in my heart that Bangladesh will improve I just wish other countries like Pakistian and India could see its potential. Muslims, Hinu, or other minority religion in our country should work our differences out and make our country great because we all know it has the potential and I really believe this dispite what some Pakistianis and Indians think so plaese stop the hate, we are all people in the the end of the day.

Some Indians and Pakistiani really think low of us, I wish that we could show them that we are a great nation and that Bangladesh is working because some Indians and Pakistianis think we will turn back to either and that Bangladeshis (both Hindus and Muslims) in Indian and Pakistian are not doing well so some think low of us because of this.

See. The topic is on the torture of Hindus in Bangladesh. Comment after comment it came to such a point that compared the situation of Hindus and Muslims in the sub continent.
I liked many of your points but you used ill word against me and you questioned how dare I say/how dare i wish to convert….etc.
I have written all these on the basis of torture of Hindus in Bangladesh and what has happened to India during last 900 years which is a statistical fact that you can not deny.
But you got the point and context wrong.
And I just answered your ‘warnings’.
Personally I do believe in unity among various religions but that should not be two faced or pseudo secular.
Like as Varun Gandhi is jailed for saying ill words against Muslims, the shahi imam also needs to be punished for uttering ill words against Hindus and Indian govt. If for being secular, India doesn’t ban cow slaughtering although it hurts Hindu’s sentiments, India should also stop allowing 4 marriages for Muslims.
Rather than doing minority appeasement India should help minorities to grow economically and socially, not by encouraging them to practice more extremist beliefs. Rubiat, what about 1971, 1987, 1992 and 2001 incidents? In total, 20 million Hindus are missing from Bangladesh. There has been a systematic genocide that’s taking place in Bangladesh.

Gujarat riot was started by Muslims and only 700 Muslims and 400 Hindus died. Not even close to the figure of Hindus that have been slaughtered in Bangladesh.

The fight for “Who is better” will not ever stop, if we approach like this. God will be very much disappointed seeing us like this. Hope we will not try to divide god. No religion will not tell anyone to do anything wrong. People changed it, re-explain it, sometimes re-modify. I know region don’t have any fault, but without people religion have no value. So what ever specific religious people do somehow represent that religious behavior. If some religious believers act likes something wrong (I am not going to explain), it definitely shows a negative impression on that religion, whatever the actual religious believe was. Once Dinosaurs was on this earth. It had the self proved mighty power and strength and we also know what happened with them, and now they are no more on this earth. Who kick out them? May be god, what ever we want to believe, but actually they gone out by nature, anything over the limit is not tolerable. I can tolerate, you can tolerate but the nature will not. Every one of us knows that but we used to forget. That’s our problem. Ferociousness, brutality, blindness will cannot protect religious believe, those will destroy it. What ever we are, that is our religion. More importantly humanity is over any religion. If any religion people try to establish religious believe over humanity that will gone down for sure. Hope this post will not be boring for you all.

DHARMA means to hold. May be the meaning is same for all religions of the world. I said “may be” because I don’t know all the religious structure. Anyway, religion holds people, humanity. As I said in my earlier post, humanity should have over religion. But sometimes the rules of humanity are forgotten by us, and those forgotten rules create the concept of majority and minority. Please don’t try to analyze my view with any political view. I cannot understand, why should a country need to be a “country religion”? Is it so important? In one sense it seems to me a creation of an inhumanity. Why we always try to divide people? Some people may take the advantage, but why we will let them to do this? Are we blind or dumb? Anyway may be I am going on another way. Let’s stop it for today. Great got bless you all.

You call muslims as terrorists, then what about christian catholic George Busha or Obama, Bush has been named world’s no 1 terrorist not by muslims only but also by other world leaders he is responsible for killing thousands of people in those countries each day, if you call the freedom fighters of iraq & afghan as terrorists then you are making me to call sheikh muzib as terrorist! George washington terrorist, Mahatma gandi terrorists, non-muslim propogandas are trying to deviate people mind from Islam, may be it is not acceptable or possible to most of you but it is recommendable for all of you to look Dr. Zakir Naik’s video on Islam and terrorism.
People in Bangladesh must understand it is neither hindus who attack muslims nor muslim extremists who torture on hindu minorities but it is those polticians who want their political benefits from all those, hindu people must have remember the case in india back at 1993 how Indian hindu poiliticians tried to bring riot and unpeaceful in that time, i can’t mention that again because that may again extend my talk, my opnion about declaring Bangladesh as muslim country is favourable because Britishises have already divided Bengal in two on religion basis E.Bengal for hindus and W.Bengal for muslims and so now i think there should no confusin about this and those who think that under muslim majority other minoroities can’t live in peace they are extremly wrong, i would say them go back to history you will never find where even a asingle non muslim was tortured by any muslim rulers whether it have been in arab, mughal empire or in Spain.

Those who blame Shariah law i ask them to look at raping figures in US and that of Saudi Arabia, India who proudly say their country is one of the largest democratic country today see their country is most dangerous for teen girls, highest suicidal rate, according to US justice dept. each year around 2300 women are raped in US, now you conider which is safe Shariah law or that of US.

To hindu brothers go back to your holy books they talk about Muhammad (pbuh) [ RIG VEDH CHAPTER 1, VERSE 237] if you still say muslims are extremists then remember the story of that british women journalists who was kidnapped by taliban and not even single male solider of taliban touched her she was checked by a female assistant of talibans, later at the time of her release talibans asked her to atleast once in her life go through Holy Qur’an she promised she will & when she reached to her country back she told “talibans are so gentle that if few half naked woman are dropped over there, they would run away” this is what islam is all about.

First of all little correction for you, British did not divide bangle according to religious issue. This is completely wrong. I don’t know weather you know the history or not, but the truth is that British decided to divide it as bangle. You could say politicians did not let it happened. Second point is a question to you. Don’t you think declaring any religion as the national religion stress back the nation’s prosperity? Don’t misinterpret me. I am not a good explainer. I don’t know you know or not even India which is claimed to be the largest Hindu Based country of the world is not declared Hinduism as the national religion. One more thing India is a country having largest amount of Muslim people then any other country of the world. I am not trying to showdown, but just emphasize the point. if you think some specific nation of religion people trying to track back Islam and terrorist, why don’t you let them think so? That will never change the reality. If someone tells you that you are a liar, who is not true at all, does not change the truth. I don’t know what you are getting, but this is straight and positive thinking. Problem will arise when people do something wrong to establish the truth in the name of truth. That is now happening. Hit back is not the solution of hit. This could only damage. This is what is happening.
